My Top 5 Concealers...

So I hadn't posted in a while, and have recently been loving my concealers & I thought why not let you all know what my top favourite concealers are drugstore and high-end. Preferably for me I like to use more liquidy types of concealers rather that creamy concealers as I feel like they work better with my skin. Creamy concealers seem to crease really badly on my skin and skin into any lines that I have. I'm currently loving all of these concealers for many different reasons which I'm about to explain, so here goes...

1. Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer - Med-Light Neutral - £17.50
This is one of my go to concealers for when I'm going on a night out or what a more heavier coverage as this doesn't have SPF so doesn't flash back in photos and also gives me that flawless look. I use the colour med-light neutral as I have quite olive skin and I found that the lighter colours were to light for me and this would just look ridiculous on my face. It's very creamy and I do have to set this preferably with a loose powder to get the best look.

2. Maybelline Instant Anti-Age The Eraser Eye - Light - £7.99
My go-to drugstore concealer, I just love this stuff. I apply this using the applicator that it comes with to get the best finish but I am so in love I have re-purchased this plenty of times and is so affordable from the drugstore! I really love this but I find the only problem is it doesn't have a very wide shade range which may be difficult for some people.

3. Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer - 010 Ivory - £5.49
This concealer is a very lovely day to day concealer if your looking for something that's not too heavy on the skin. I love this concealer as whenever I apply this it instantly makes my skin look radiant and glowy which I love. It is quite a light coverage but is definitely buildable and I prefer to use this throughout the warmer months.

4. Miss Sporty Perfect Stay Liquid Concealer - Light - £2.99
So this concealer I actually bought through a recommendation by VelvetGhost on youtube and her skin always looks flawless so I definitely had to pick this up and definitely can't fault it for the price. I always find myself picking this up when I want a really bright under eye area as it makes it look flawless and covers my dark circles perfectly. For the price I found that it was a great coverage concealer and definitely a must have in a starter makeup kit.

5. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - 3 Warm Medium - £4.19
The ever so famous concealer that everyone raves about! This has always been a favourite of mine for a very long time. It's the perfect coverage for blemishes and dark circles and makes them disappear which I definitely look for in a concealer. The only problem I have with this concealer is I cannot use this when I have really dry areas on the skin as I find it can start to cling to those areas and make it look really cakey, however other than that I love it and have also repurchased many of these!

So if you have any personal recommendations that you think I would like definitely leave them for me to try out!

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Colour

So trying to build my lipstick collection and having a browse around in Superdrug I came across this recent release of these brand new Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Colours which come in seven shades and sell for £8.99, however I actually got these on an offer of buy one get one half price so had to get more than one. I'm really a fan of the packaging, I love how small they are and that you can just slip one in your handbag, I love the look of the frosted glass and also you can clearly see the shade of the product.

So I bought two colours and this is one of the nude colours that I bought called Seduction. I think this is the lightest colour of the collection and usually I don't look towards colours this light because I have fairly olive skin but I really liked the look of this and thought I would give it a try. I really like this colour and think this would look really nice and a wide variety of skin tones.

The second colour that I bought was the darkest in the collection called Addiction. I was attracted to this colour as it looked like a dark berry colour but came out more pink than I thought. The formula of these I wouldn't say was very matte at all and I would say they are very much like the NYX Soft Matte Creams which leaves a velvety texture on the lips. Considering the formula I don't think that these will last very long on the lips and they may have to be re-applied to keep the colour as pigmented as possible.

I definitely would like to purchase the rest of the collection to see how all the colours transfer onto the lips. If anyone has any of their favourite colours in these lipsticks, please let me know so I can try them out for myself.

Best Budget Face Masks

So coming up to the weekend I thought I do a post on my favourite budget buy face masks as I feel like they are such a weekend thing to do! I really love face masks and the effect that they give my skin afterwards. I feel like for me face masks give me pretty instant results when I'm trying to either hydrate my skin, exfoliate or even get rid of those stubborn spots that don't seem to go away! So as I sit here stroking my soft, soft cheeks I thought I would talk you through some of the newish face masks that have seemed to slip into my collection that served me through the winter and that I will continue to use all yeah round...

NSPA 5 Minute Magic Mask - £5.00
I picked this face mask up at ASDA as this range is only exclusive to them or you can get it online. In there they do a really good deal which is 2 for £8 which I thought was brilliant as couldn't turn down the offer. So I turn to this mask the most when I'm look for abit of love for my skin and hydration, and this mask acts as a really thick moisturiser but within the product it has these little beads that pop when you rub it into your skin that contain neroli, avacado and apricot oils which draw out all your skins impurities and leave your skin very smooth.

Beauty Formulas Radiate & Glow Brightening Face Mask - £3.99
This mask is a little different as this is a sheet mask so you lay this on your face and all the different oils sink into the skin. I use this mask most when my skins looking a little dull and needs a little bit of life put back into it. I love this mask as it makes my skin instantly brighter and more radiant. It also contains mulberry root extract, orange fruit extract, arbutin and green tea extract which which penetrate the skin deeply enliven and replenish. It's so affordable and a lot of places sell this on offer for only £1 which I think is amazing so I always stock up when I run out.

Sanctuary Spa 5 Minutes Thermal Detox Mask - £10.00
So this mask is one that I was drawn to by many recommendations and had to pick it up straight away. I mostly use this mask when I have time to relax such as when I'm chilling around the house or in the bath as I feel like this is when I get the time to really let the mask work and sink in the skin. I love that this mask is a self-heating mask which feels very strange on the skin at first but the warmth helps the pores to open up so that the charcoal and kaolin clay can help to draw out any impurities that you may have from deep within the skin. Although this also drys to a stiff paste at the end it's non-drying at all and is very revitalizing. This mask definitely leaves me skin looking amazing and also gets rid of any unwanted oils that I may have on the skin.

If you do tend to try any of these masks definitely leave a message telling me how you got on and if you have any other recommendations on any affordable face masks and I will definitely be willing to try!

I'm All About That Base

I wanted to find a creamy contour palette for people that didn't want to spend a lot of money but was still amazing quality and was an affordable price for the product! Well here it is you beauty lovers... my new discovery which is the Technic Colour Fix Contour palette. I was really impressed with this product as it has such an amazing coverage and such a nice creamy formula that doesn't budge on the skin. It gives the skin a nice healthy glow, just what you want for the summer! I apply this using a multiple selection of tools including the Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush, Real Techniques Miracle Complextion Sponge and also just a rounded kabuki brush I got from ebay. I found that these products helped me to apply it the best and made it look flawless. I applied all the different colours with the pointed foundation brush by Real Techniques. I then buffed the product into the skin using the kabuki brush and lastly finished by blending out with the Real Techniques sponge. This product is so easy to use and would definitely recommend it!

Fake Falsies

So... you want those lashes looking long & thick but are too lazy to apply false lashes (just like me)! Well, look no further because I have found a couple of different affordable drugstore mascaras that could definitely change the way you apply your makeup. All of these mascaras are all avaliable in either boots or superdrugs and are all under £10!

1. Soap & Glory Thich & Fast Flash Extenstions Effects Mascara
So this mascara has been a favourite of mine for a long time and I always end up repurchasing this one. It sells for £8.50 and you can only find this at boots! I first got this in a Soap & Glory gift set that I received for christmas and fell in love with it instantly. The brush drew me in straight away as I really love the shape of the bristles. I prefer to use this kind compared to the more plastic wands as I feel like this kind hold the right amount of product for my lashes. This is so waterproof, even though it doesn't say it on the packaging which I was also really impressed about.

2. L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara
This mascara was actually a discovery from Kim K herself as I see this being used in one of her makeup tutorials. I have used this mascara for a few months now and haven't found any problems with it. It's a very buildable mascara which I love as I have use it if I want quite a natural looking makeup look if I want it to look more dramatic. It's a really fine formula which doesn't budge at all and that's what I look for in a mascara!

3. Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
This mascara was a recent discovery of mine which I got from the one and only beauty blogger/ youtuber Zoe Sugg (Zoella) when I see her use this in one of her makeup tutorials! I was drawn to this mascara by the length and volume that it gave her lashes and I was hoping it would do the same to mine, which it did! I'm am truely in love with this product and retailing at only £7.99 this is definitely better by far than some of my high end mascaras and I will definitely be repurchasing this is the near future.

If you have any other recommendations of drugstore mascaras that take your fancy then definitely leave the names for me to try out!

Top 5 Drugstore Lipsticks

No girl can have too many lipsticks... Well that's what I always say anyway! Today this post is going to be my top 5 drugstore lipsticks with a range of colours and finishes suitable for everyone! I wouldn't fault any of these lipsticks and feel that all of them suit me and my skin tone very well. I also love how cheap these lipsticks are considering they are all such good formulas and last forever! Each one of these lipsticks is under £10 which I call a bargain...

So here I have swatched all lipsticks in order for you to see what they look like once applied! I do agree, the last 3 do look the same in colour but they do all have different finishes and are all slightly different I promise!

Left to Right

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 107
This lipstick is a dark berry shade which is one of my favourites for the autumn and winter. The finish of this lipstick is very matte but not too drying on the lips!

L'Oreal Color Riche in Blake's Pure Red
Now this colour is what I would call your classic red, to go perfectly with that simple makeup and strong winged liner! This is also quite a matte finish and lasts very well on the lips!

Kiko Cosmetics Velvet Mat Lipstick in 612 Strawberry Pink
This lipstick is what I would call the perfect nude for any olive like complexion, similar to mine. This lipstick is one I always go for when I can't decide what colour to wear because I know that this can go with any colour makeup look. It has quite a matte finish but is also very creamy on the lips.

Kiko Cosmetics Crystal Sheer Lipstick in 704
This lipstick is more on the pinky side when it comes to nude lipsticks. This is a really nice satin finish and is also quite pigmented for it being a sheer lipstick. I love this lipstick with any dark, smokey eye makeup look and lasts perfectly on the lips.

Essence Long Lasting Lipstick in 06 Barely There!
This lipstick was one of my bargain buys as this lipstick was just under £3 and for the quality and the formula of the lipstick I was very impressed and actually went to buy more. I love this lipstick for something quite natural and you just want a pop of colour on the lips. It gives a nice, natural glossy finish to the lips and looks lovely and healthy.

If you have any other recommendations of great drugstore lipsticks, then definitely let me know so that I can try them out!

Copper Eyes & Glossy Lips

Today I went for a look that I have never done before which was an orange nude eye and really glossy lips! I love this look as it can look quite natural or wear it out and add a pair of falsies to it! The main products that I used to make this look work were the NYX Trio Eyeshadows in Rust, Copper & Bronze but used the copper one the most as it had a more of a orange shade to it which was what I was going for. I was very impressed with these eyeshadows as they are very pigmented and so easy to apply with a really nice texture that lasts! The lipglosses that I used were a bargain from the brand Essence. I used the matte one first to get the colour and the more glossy to give it a really shiney look. I don't usually use a lot of lipglosses but these have definitely converted me and changed my mind.

This makeup look was quite dramatic and I wanted something that was going to last all night and not budge! I also wanted something quickly glittery on the eye and I think I achieved this perfectly. The Essential Make-Up Brushes

Every girl, woman and make-up artist need the perfect set of brushes to create their work... So here are some that I picked out to help with that decision. I don't disagree that flawless cannot be created with the use of your fingers, but I love my makeup brushes. I'm a brush junkie! If I had to reach for a handful of brushes everyday this is what I would choose...

Angled Contour Brush : Look Good Feel Better

This is a new brush in the collection of mine and fell in love instantly. I spotted this shopping at TK Maxx and knew I had to try this and I didn't have one that looked like this. The thing that drew me to this brush the most was that it is partnership that supports women with cancer and that an 8-12% donation is made from each purchase! All of their brushes are also allergy free, cruelty free and suitable for sensitive skin. I found this brush to give me accurate placement of my bronzer and didn't make it look like a streaky like on my face. It's really soft also that works well on the skin.

Multitask Brush : Real Techniques Tapered Blush

So this brush I actually had my eye on for a while, and the rose gold colour drew me in more! I managed to get this as a gift for christmas which I was delighted about and wanted to use it straight away. To say, I haven't stopped using it since. Real Techniques as a brand are excellent for their products but this one stood out to me a lot. Being called a Tapered Blush Brush it definitely is good at it's job, but it can also be used for many other things as well as this. I use this a lot for setting my concealer and also found that this can work well to apply a powder highlight to the high points of my cheeks.

Buffing Brush : Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

This Real Techniques Buffing Brush with the first brush that I owned and went and bought myself. I actually bought this from seeing many people raving about it being so good... which it is! For blending my foundation it works wonders as it really buffs the product into my skin but still leaves it with quite a high coverage which is what I look for. I also love using this to buff in my concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes that I have as it allows the product to get in all the creases.

Setting Brush : Real Techniques Setting Brush

The Real Techniques Setting Brush is an all time favourite of mine. So I got this in a set with two other brushes but this one I use the most. I mostly use this for setting power under the eyes and on the t-zone of my face, but I also use this to apply highlight to the high points of my cheeks, down the bridge of my nose, my cupids bow and my brow bone for that glow. This brush is also great at blending cream products as it's small and dainty but also quite fluffy at the same time.

Blending Brush : Real Techniques Oval Shadow Brush

So this brush I got alongside the Tapered Blush as a gift for christmas which I'm very fortunate of, but this was definitely a great one to add to my collection. It has really helped me with the application of my eyeshadow. I don't necessarily use this to apply eyeshadow, but mostly use this when it's clean and free of product to blend out eyeshadow that I have already applied. It really allows the product to move and blends it very well. It is quite large in size but allows me to have more precision on my blending.

Most of my brush collection is Real Techniques as this is what I prefer to use, but I have also used many other brushes along the way that can almost do an equal job! If you have any recommendations let me know as I'm willing to expand..

Matte Me Up...

So today I popped into boots to pick up the new release of the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Matte Lip 3D Lip Colour & Sculpt. I was very excited about getting these as I have a variety of the Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Lips and I love a matte lip. I only picked up two shades which vary as I wanted to see quality, pigmentation and formula. At a first impression I love these Matte Lips and couldn't fault them and they have a lovely different variety of shades to suit any season ranging from pinks, to purples, to oranges and cannot fault them for only £3.50!

The first colour I picked up was 'Berry-Much'. This caught my eye as it was a lovely dark purple shade and haven't got any lip colours like this and wanted to give this a try. At first look I love the colour, really stands out and gives a pop of colour to a simple make up look. It lasts a very long time and doesn't budge!

The second colour that I picked up was 'Pretty Muted' which is a lovely natural pinky colour. This was more pigmented than I thought it would be. I wanted this colour for everyday and something to chuck on to give me a little colour and not make my lips look bare. I love this! The formula is so creamy and doesn't dry my lips out at all (which always happens to me).

As I love these so much I will definitely be back in boots to buy more soon (especially the bright orange for the summer!). I would recommend these to anyone looking for a matte lip product with a creamy formula and definitely couldn't fault it. Soap & Glory have done it again!

The King Of Cleanse

So cleansing, one of the most important parts of looking after your skin! I keep mine to a minimum as many people with sensitive skin do, but I have found that all of these work miracles for me and help me in keeping my skin clean and smooth. All of the products I use are very affordable and are avaliable at most drugstores! In my routine I take my makeup off, cleanse, and scrub (occassionally) to help keep my skin clear and radiant.

1. Super Facialist By Una Brennan Cleansing Oil

So my first go to cleansing product that I rely on and use morning, noon and night is this cleansing oil by Una Brennan. It is such a great product that I discovered when I was running low on my The Body Shop chamomile cleansing oil, but I actually prefer this. I feel that it removes my makeup pretty much the same and gets all of it off, but has Vitamin C and brightening agents that give your skin abit of life. I also use this in the morning just to get any residue off my face that has built up over night!

2. Soap & Glory Vitamin C Facial Wash

This product I have used for a while now and I wouldn't go back to any regular face wash. It's a very affordable price at around the £10 mark but it's worth it! It's such a refreshing face wash and makes my skin feel very smooth, but also the little pink beads running through it help with any blemishes or discolouration that you have and balance it out. I use this with my Homedics facial cleanser and I found this was the best way to use it.

3. Kiko Anti-Blemish Purifying Scrub

So this product I actually got on offer at a very cheap price of around £4! Bargain. I love this product as it's very gentle on the skin and the formula is like a gel with tiny little grains throughout that are not too rough on the skin, and having sensitive skin this works very well for me. I don't use this all the time, I use about 3 days a week or when my skins feeling a little dry and needs a little bit of love.

Pesky Pimple Problems

Want some tips on how to get rid of those horrible spots that seem to invade your face? Then here's a few of my favourites that help my skin when it's having a bad day! I'm quite prone to spots, especially when it's my time of the month and i'm not wrong in saying that this must happen to many other females... Well here's some ways to fight those and have your skin glowing and radiant again.

1. T-Zone Spot Zapping Gel

This spot treatment has worked wonders for me and is one of my holy grails for when treating my bad skin. I picked this up at the drugstore and a very affordable price and I will always use this. I put this on my blemish right as I feel it coming up under the skin straight away and only put a thin layer that seeps through the skin right to the root which starts acting straight away.

2. Germolene Antiseptic Cream

This cream is also another favourite of mine and I use this when the spot has started to slowly appear, one of those really sore ones! This helps fight any bacteria to the spot and acts right away at helping it heal and go away which I love. I actually discovered this find when I was at college, wearing makeup everyday and see one of my fellow dancers using this and I've never looked back ever since.

3. Witch Doctor Skin Treatment Gel

This product is great for the process of getting rid of your spots as it contains Witch Hazel. I use this on my skin when I get those pesky blemishes that are really red and seem to stand out on my face (GROSS). When I see a little redness in my skin I put a thin layer of this over the top and it brings down the redness very quickly. It also helps to speed up the healing process and helps your skin to clear much better.

Let me know of any skin/spot treatments that you use as I'm willing to give anything a try!

My Top Drugstore Foundations

So, I always get asked what foundation I'm wearing or what are my favourites. From my collection I've picked out my top drugstore foundations that I couldn't live without! All very affordable for everyone and never fail to make my skin look flawless. I use these the most out of all my foundations as they are very lightweight on my skin and allow it to breathe while also not looking like death.

1. Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation

So this first foundation I actually discovered from one of my best friends from school over a conversation on a whatsapp chat (as you do). She recommended that I try this as she loved it herself, so I popped myself down boots and picked it up straight away. At first I did struggle with the selection of colours and ended up getting one that way too dark... OOPS! In the end this foundation worked wonders for me and made my skin look so clear and photo ready.

2. L'Oreal Lumi Magique

I have always loved L'Oreal foundations and immediately fell in love with this one also. It felt very lightweight on the skin almost as if I wasn't wearing anything at all which I love. I also loved the fact it gave a real dewy look on my skin and didn't look too cakey even when setting it with a powder. I loved the foundation so much that I recommended it to my mum, who also loves it too now :D

3. Bourjois City Radiance

This foundation is a recent discovery of mine from it's recent release. When I saw this in the shops I had to buy this straight away from hearing all the amazing reviews. All I have to say about this foundation is that it's amazing as I continue to add to all the other positive comments. It really does give an amazing radiance to the skin and makes you look like a glowing goddess.

4. Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect

So the last in the collection is this Revlon foundation. I actually brought this foundation only because it was on offer at boots along with its matching primer! Picking this up I remember hearing good things about this foundation and I'm always willing to try new things so, this was another. When first trying this foundation I couldn't get to grips with how to apply the best way. I had to go through a couple of applications to get the best look but once I had conquered it, it made my skin look flawless.

My Top Skincare Picks

I wanted to share some of my top picks for my current skincare routine that I have been loving at the minute. A lot of the products that I use are very affordable, which can be brought at the drugstore and are great for people with sensitive skin like me. Having sensitive skin means mostly chopping and changing around my skincare to fit how my skin is feeling, whether I'm having a blemish day, or just a dry day. However all of the products that I'm using at the moment fit all of these categories for me and I am LOVING them!

Kiko Moonlight Oil Serum
